I don't believe Japan is 3D version. I believe the info is incorrect. This set includes only the Blu-Ray and DVD version in Steelbook.

The 3D version that I'm aware is the one from Hong Kong.

unfortunately, it was sold out very quickly within days from the major online stores.

If you know someone from HK, then he/she might be able to find one locally for you.

Another option to get the 3D version is that the Dutch version might be 3D version as well, but it hasn't released yet.

Here is a picture of this steelbook with the half slip cover since the current craze is for steelbooks with slip covers especiallly Asian editions.

If there is greater interest, I might grab new pictures to post here.

Sadly there are no blu-ray logos on the g1 case of IM2 Japan ....

meaning, you can STILL buy the dvd g1 IM 2 French edition and you have the exact same steelbook minus the minuscule paper thing on front. So to each their own.

I did this and saved myself a ton.

Anyway. A little off topic, but an iron man 2 release without a proper iron man release from Japan makes the iron man 2 worthless. At least to me. No desire for IM2 JP
