Wonder if we'd be right to question whether this and Captain America will actually be new designs since it seems to have turned out that Iron Man 3 is going to be exactly the same for Zavvi as it is for everyone else despite being informed it would be unique?

I no they wanted to, Wreck posted a poll a while back to see if we wanted an IM 1&2 double pack steel but due to negative feedback Zavvi pulled it, but it shows they have intreast and may be room for a release in the future as we no Zavvi want to

yeah i think they will do it they know people want 'em just as much as Thor & CA so i think they will i too think the 2nd steelbook isn't as nice as the 1st but then it was always gonna be hard to follow that

I'm actually looking forward to seeing this release. Was out of the Steelbook game first time around this release and I'm currently on a bit if a Marvel Cinematic Universe 'binge' at the moment.

I don't think stating an opinion saying they would like a re-release is 'crying'. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't like a re-release don't buy it. If there are enough re-releases already, having another one wont / shouldn't make much of a difference, right?

Your comparisson with Ferrari's is a bit weird. The price of these new steelbooks aren't much different than what the original's were.
And to be fair Ferrari doesn't make x amount of cars and then make a totally different car.
Ferrari still make Ferrari's just a different model and will continue to make profits on their cars wereas the Play.com IM steelbooks made them x amount and then nothing. So I really don't see why they shouldn't put out more steelbooks if there's a retailer that's willing to take them. And clearly there is. And why wouldn't there be? No big company listen to their customers on a subject like this unless they thought it would hurt their business in the long run.
And as we can see in other threads most people will still buy from Zaavi and other retailers no matter what they do to piss off the customers.

And as for your point about IM having been released in other countries, that's not something the studio's care or even know about at times. Paramount UK release movies based on what they think will sell in their region which is mainly the UK and a little bit Europe.
That Canada has released it on steelbook has no effect on the UK division of Paramount.

I agree that re-releases are bad for us collector's but if you really think the studio's and retailer's won't release something because it's been released somewhere else then you're crazy.
It's not about the collector's for them it's about the profit. Just be greatful when something you like is being released and stop complaining so much.

I don't think anyone is asking for them at "low prices", just not extortionate prices in a secondary market.

I haven't had MANY MANY chances to get the Iron Man steelbooks because all of those releases, as well as Thor and CA came out before I even had blu-ray.

I also don't think anyone who is asking for new IMs are at all trying to suggest that they are entitled to get them either. Sometimes we'll miss the boat, but there's no harm in asking.

Thor and CA had a WORLDWIDE release, each country were selling CA and thor while Iron Man steelbooks never had a worldwide release (only canada, UK and germany had IM1 if I remember)

Assemble the team and own these re release's because ether way it's a win win everybody will have these so it really dosn't matter if you got the originals or not im glad to see that newer collecters who missed out on those other epic editions can have them an exclusive as well yes sir

I really doubt the Captain America & the Thor re-release are going to stay Zavvi exclusives for long. Eventually, I expect these titles to be released elsewhere.
