Ahh well, this will do. Art could of been a little better but then, its either this or the over expensive original, so this'll complete my Avengers Steels at last.

Everyone has their opinion (and I'm not dissing you for that) but IMO this is just the Amaray artwork on a Steelbook. The Original THOR Steelbook is one of the most sought after (and beautifully designed in my collection IMO) Steels right now. Why anyone would be happy they sold their copy of that for THIS is beyond me (IMO)

There's just no comparisson (IMO)!!!

I feel this has nothing to do with Originality or even giving us a great little brother for the Awesome Original...IMO
The original Reigns Supreme I think. No worries there..

Its about cash pure and simple...

But I think the Cashcow is going to be giving very little milk with this steel..

I already have the original steelbook for thor and captain america, but not sure if I should go for this one as well. Is anyone, who also has the original, going to buy this one as well? A side of me wants to purchase this, but a side of me says I already have the original copy so why buy this? Same with captain america.

But those moaning about art Wreck said before release, well before considering how long this thread has been sitting waiting for art that ultimately these will have artwork already previously used on standard edition.

So my question.... what did you expect? something new?! .... lol This is a good alternative to those who cannot, or wont pay the £70+ price tag on the HMV steels.

I agree the back of this release is lazy though. It looks tacky!

Atleast on the Cap release its actually a decent image, why not use something abit different in that regards?!

Perhaps the standoff?! Or a battle seen from early in the film?

Or even Thor in the throne room at the start!

Ultimately shoddy back! Cannot see how anyone thinks this is a better release, unless they are attempting to convince themselves otherwise.... my opinion of course but I would say 99 people out of 100 would agree.

I don't believe Wreck confirmed this art, he just implied it would use a well known publicity image and then people assumed it would be the red image.

Anyway, the front doesn't bother me, it's the back. The back to this and CA are like templates of the backs of the fox waves. This collage thing always cheapens the look of a steel IMO.

and so.. if the art is good/nice (at least for me and others) i don't see any issue with that fact..
i rather this art over the older one's art, which is "just" thor on a black background and a thor/title on it , always felt it was too "empty" , not "full enough" personally

anyways,i ll also gladly sell my previous thor steel when this one will be released

Why bother IMO? You have the superior originals. Save your money for some other worthy future releases. That's what I'm doing anyway.

As an owner of HMV steels I wont be picking them up, but some of those who do not own them should defo dip into it.

Now as a proud owner of all the Uk releases of Marvel right now, we need a decent Incredible Hulk ZAVVI!!

Even the standard Amaray artwork of that would be a welcome improvement over my Play.com Landscape edition.

I'm actually glad that none of the recent Zavvi exclusive steebooks are must haves, so that I can save some money.

I was thinking that, but what I may do is buy just one copy of each just to use them to watch the film. I will keep my originals sealed (not for selling as i love them too much).

Yeah not a fan of this and the CA re-release. Too much going on in the artwork, they need to keep it simple.

I think what will be interesting is now valuable this will become once its sold out/OOP. Will it ever reach the pricey highs of the HMV steel, be a little lower, cause the original to skyrocket even further? Who knows....
