Set your alarm ash, I think the internet is gonna blow up on this one! EEK!

Yeah blow it up! I love blowing things up this time of year :hilarious::hilarious:

Wait, we are talking about tomorrow morning right? Ok, change of plans - staying up all night and walking the halls to keep things on the up and up around here and when the clock hits 7AM PDT - BOOM!!!!:oohyeah::oohyeah::oohyeah:

Will the internet blow up on this one? I thought everyone hated it the other day, I've not really looked at this thread since then.

it doesn't matter. this will sell out. it is not like IM3 that has a worldwide release in multiple countries. this is now a catalogue title being released exclusively by Zavvi, with a gargantuan fanbase, many of whom cannot or will not pay for the HMV style version. all the naysayers here compaining about the artwork are gonna be kicking themselves when this become a collector's steelbook. go ahead and hide in the bushes and watch. :ugh:

It's hard to say really, but there are a lot of reasons why it might sell quicker than many of Zavvi's recent catalogue titles.

Personally I think it's a decent steelbook in its own right.
Lots of people missed out on the original Thor and want to complete their Phase One collection.
Many might want to double-dip on Marvel steels.
Many still seem to buy every steelbook ever released (getting harder and harder these days).

I would snap this and Captain America up if I didn't already have the HMV versions. To be honest, I prefer the fronts on both of them, but as a rule I don't rebuy anything even if a better version comes along. I make an exception with Blade Runner, and yes, I would rebuy Batman Forever if they rerelease it with the proper front like the others.

this a very poor release with minimum effort put into it ... just a quick way to grab some more cash from steelbook collectors

Isn't that what most steelbooks are?

You get the same discs (or less sometimes) at a higher price because it's now in a metal case. The steelbook goes OOS before release day, whereas you can pick up the amaray a few weeks later for half it's original selling price.

Companies have gotten wise and realise that some people will pay more for a case, simple as that. You simply have to decide if each release is worth it to you personally for the asking price (like any consumable really).

I was gonna get this and Cap'n, but I already forked out on HMV ones, and already got too many pre-orders as it is lol. Glad my wallet can stay closed for this!
