^^Remember, these are with Disney now, even if Paramount still have their logo on them. Probably why they are matte. Then again, Star Trek Into Darkness was matte so I guess nothing is certain anymore regarding finishes.

Loving this and captain America. The back and inside are not great on this but I do love the front. Much better in hand

I didn't order this but I really like the vibrant front and the stand out red text. If this was glossy, I would've had to find a copy on ebay. Looks like I'm still looking for the HMV version then. Anyone fancy selling me one under a 5er? :hilarious:

I hate how much I am struggling to NOT buy this. I wish it was glossy, but the pics are making me want to double dip. I just got a hold of an HMV copy so I cancelled this pre-order...but my addiction is causing me to NEED this one too. Someone talk me down...:)

The new one is ok, the first release is better. Do they have to do that boarder when they emboss the title? If not they really need to lose that, its on every release, and its getting lame.

UK - Thor
Matte finish, embossed.

love it and also if i am not really in Steels anymore i ordered it to go along with my Thor Hot Toys Figure and even if i am nearly alone with this opinion i prefer it over the old one can't wait to have it in hand.

I think IMO this looks better than the HMV release the back yes could have been better but the Front art which is the most important part is better than HMV release

I wonder if the Owners of HMV release just going automatic saying
HMV is better because they don't like the fact another release has come out making there HMV release no longer the only UK release

I love this release and happy I got a chance to own a steelbook version and also of Captain America
There is noting wrong IMO to have different releases of a steelbook as most people purchase to keep and have in there collection

The value of a limited steelbook after release has no interest to me as only always buy 1 copy of a release and will buy another different release if new extras or new artwork that I like
I buy steelbooks to own not to sell

Buddy, IMO I would have to disagree with your comments. I own both versions and was hoping the zavvi will actually top off the HMV one (even though I already knew it had little chance) so I can sell off my HMV one for a good price and a little to cash to spend on some xmas steels :) But it is not the case! So I guess I have to keep the HMV one :p

Zavvi is good for people that missed out, but quality wise it's just not as good as the HMV one. Have both in your hands you can feel and see for yourself. If you have the original HMV one, keep it.
