yep I agree with you, the original is better. However I can't afford to buy that via eBay or wherever, so I'm perfectly happy with this one

And full respect to you dude. the prices for the HMV version get crazier by the day. It just gets to me when people post crap like the Zavvi one is the most amazing steel they have seen.

It is good a lot have finally got hold of a Thor, or CA steel, but in the process, have to give it the billy "big bollocks" that the Zavvi versions will "heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race"

I mean enjoy, but don't sound like moose in the process with " oh yeah, this is better than the HMV one"

This thread is becoming less about Thor and more of a debate about steelbook snobbery.

Personally, I buy steelbooks to look at, collect and (dare I say it) watch. However, I don't see it as the most important thing in the world, so I'm quite happy with my cheap Zavvi version.

Everyone entitled to their own opinion remember. Terms like 'superior' are entirely subjective. If someone likes their Zavvi version, there's no need to remind that it's 'inferior' to yours in every single way.

For me the front is the biggest concern for me on any steelbook. Then the spine, the back, then the inside art.

Same! I think the front is great as I love when they use original poster art on the fronts, but the inside and back are not as good as the HMV version. If they had got the back and inside right then I would rate this over the original.

Nce, the back definitely loses out to the HMV edition but other than that this is the better art over the always overratted HMV version which is pretty dull and slightly cheap looking.

I almost forgot why I stopped coming into the steelbook section.... this post reminds me why, lol.

This one feels cheap and the back cover is ugly too so its not comparable with the original release which is simple elegant and premium

I bought this version because I didn't want to open my original.
As a non biased person, I can see why people may like this version more. The colours are more vibrant and it pops more.
And especially if you haven't seen the original in person, I think it's hard to appreciate the quality of it, so I don't get why people make a big deal when someone says they like this more.

If someone's not able or willing to get the original I don't think they should feel bad getting this at all. I don't even mind the back, it's not the nicest but it's not the worst and I think it works. There's something about this that I just really like.
