Sorry if this is OT guys, but as many of us are talking about Blufans and the state in which many of our packages are arriving in as of late, I thought I'd post this here...

Just walked in from work to find this battered and squashed parcel waiting for me, my heart sank... :pain: I received my Thor Ragnarok OC tracking # from @cooey the other day and prayed to God this was not already it!! EEK! (I hadn't been notified of anything else incoming). In fact it turned out to be my remaining Blufans Mega GB order from the other site, a copy of CA3 Iron Man DL and Frozen Anna Lenti... :arghh:

Literally looks like it's been kicked around like we've seen in those recent vids...:mad::mad:
View attachment 380030 View attachment 380051 View attachment 380032 View attachment 380033View attachment 380034

Opened it up to find both steels individually wrapped in lots of bubble wrap and not foam blocks...
View attachment 380035

VERDICT...

One BIG crease line from top to bottom on the spine of CA3 and a relatively small tear to the spine of Frozen Anna...

To be honest I expected the damage to be far worse than it actually is given the state of the shipping box (I haven't opened them to check the contents though). However for me personally, I just can't keep these in my collection in such condition :(:ugh: The frequency in which these Blufans packages are arriving badly damaged is getting ridiculous now, I am literally sh!tting myself about my Thor Rag One Click which is currently en' route :ohno::ohno::ohno::dead::dead::dead:

The damage to the sets does look like probable pre-shipment damage. But that outer box damage is all too familiar for Blufans. Mine is due for delivery today. I will post the results. I've received previous damaged shipments from them. :grumpy::ohno:

I reckon that damage was there before they were sent to you @Mickle_89
My thoughts as well. This kept me from not buying from that GB in the first place.

Please note: Some of older releases are left-over and end stocks. There might be little imperfection occasionally, such as wear and tear on the shrink wrap, loose discs, tiny scratches on the lenti slipcase or little paint chips on the steelbook. They will be sold as it is and can't be exchanged. Thank you for your understanding!

Yikes! Well and truly Mickled indeed. (n)

Definitely looks like crush damage to me. Sorry, buddy. Hope your Ragnarok OC (and everyone else’s) survives the ChinaPost gauntlet! :ohno:

You may be on to something with Frozen, that I was a bit baffled about how that damage could've possibly happened but given the box condition, nothing really surprised me lol... I was too much in a state of shock  But with CA3, that I feel is most certainly down to the damaged shipment and due to the force of impact. I don't feel as though that was in the same condition as it is now before they sent it. Frozen, yes maybe... but CA3, I highly doubt. My personal opinion anyway.

Here's another pic of the spines...

Really sorry to see the shipment and the items in that state, @Mickle_89 :(

The Shanghai "parcel smasher" strikes again...

It is unfortunate that Blufans hasn't reserved any spares for Thor: Ragnarok box set.

The wait for those to arrive (I'm in the same boat) is now on a slightly higher than usual level of anticipation and excitement :bag:
Thanks buddy. Good luck with your Thor Rag OC!

I get that, but nowhere does it say "beware of heavily creased spines and/or actual tears/ripping to slips...". I don't personally consider these "little imperfections" and believe they're more likely down to the fact the package is beaten as hell. If they were in fact there prior to Blufans shipping them, it was a mighty miracle they weren't damaged any further lol.

@Mickle_89 sorry to see that, i take it you will be asking for a refund for those in that state.
not slight imperfections at all and if they did push those out knowing previous damage really they should be shot for that.

personally ive been carded today
17track did not update but royalmail did late last night and i had to be out today sorting out mother in law with getting new scooter

anyway fingers cross picking up tommorrow hope its alright :watch::wow:

basil

Did you pay full price for these @Mickle_89? Or were Blufans selling them at a discounted price becuase they were left over stock with ‘slight imperfections’?
They were at GB price and weren't discounted due to any specific imperfections that I'm aware of.

@rschiks Forgot to say, when Kevin talks about "older releases" and "little imperfections" etc, I place Frozen in that category but CA3 isn't necessarily that old IMO.

Anyhow, less than an hour after contacting Kevin he replied and asked me to send them back to him and he'll then arrange for replacements to be resent! So I guess he doesn't deem them unreturnable in my case.

Dude that is an absolute joke! It is absutely shocking and appears to be every single release every ons recieves they are always guaranteed to be smashed to bits and kicked about like a football. For the money us collectors spend on their packages this is disgraceful! Glad I havnt ordered any blufans direct yet!

I've had perfect steelbooks in every way since Blufans switched to the high impact foam about 2 years ago. I've only had to send back 1 item and got a full refund but that is one in my last 15-20 orders. Yeah half the boxes were smashed but all that counts are the steelbooks inside.
So I wouldn't stay away because of some pictures on here, worst case you get a replacement or refund.

My DL arrived today and my heart dropped a little when I saw the box....
IMG_0634.JPG IMG_0635.JPG

Opened it up..... got the Blufans impact foam in there, thinking all is good. Took me a solid 10 minutes to realise I took some damage. Looks like my rear lenti corner has been nicked and bent a little.

IMG_0641.JPG

Steelbook looks fine, and so long as that is the case I can live with this little nick. Yes it's a shame, though at least its not as bad as some peoples horror deliveries. Does make me a little concerned going forward for future Blufans releases (looking at you Black Panther). I watched those videos in the Black Panther thread, and I just don't want to believe that they are actually real. How is practise like that allowed to stand? Gives me chills!

That is very disappointing of Blufans. Have the beauty and the beast experienced the same. But I got replacement empty boxes. I hope not the same
experience how you and Thor are doing well.

Great you can return them. Still a shame, because it’s not how it should go in the first place, right? I hope the one clicks are better packaged.

I really find this part of collecting terrible.....I mean....hoping your package will arrive in a good condition, and when that’s the case, praying nothing is wrong with the steelbook itself (or lenti).

I not ever had any crushed box with Blufans
All arrived with no damage to packaging that's every blufans release I have purchased

Look's to me it's mostly UK members where packaging is arriving damaged going by the posts I have seen in the thread
Langley HWDC and Royal Mail process post when it arrives into UK
Parcels getting damaged is more likely happening after arrives in UK

I don't think it's China Post who cause the damage to packaging

That's not logical.
HDZETA , Manta and Korean packages come mostly intact through Langley.

I'm in Rep of Ireland
China Post then An Post
I never have any packaging arrived crushed from China/Korea/Hong Kong
Every single box arrives without been damaged

It's more likely it's happening in UK when been processed a lot of post comes from China to UK as in a huge amount every day
You have more parcels been processed on arrival in UK from China Shanghai than you would have from Korea/Hong Kong

Manta use Hong Kong speedpost for UK it's faster than normal post and separate from post been sent to other countries
It's postal service from when Hong Kong was part of the UK and still been used

HDzeta is shipped from Beijing
There is lot more parcels arriving daily from Shanghai to UK than there would be from Beijing
