Despite the conspiracy theorists I don't think there's anything sinister going on here.

You must remember the volume of post from China to the UK/Europe MUST BE HUGE. They're not just shipping our Blufans items on their own!

All I can think of is that these small boxes must be mixed with larger heavier objects before they are eventually sorted and are getting crushed under the weight in the process.

I don't know. But is it fair to say everything from Shanghai arrives like yours have? I don't know about that. I've received a few that were in great condition (fingers crossed for my DL).
I ask again, are most of these badly bashed ones being sent through EMS? China Post? Either one?
Are we 100% sure this is happening in Shanghai and not in Heathrow? You guys seem to get them first every single time. It could also just be coincidence.

I've received tens of parcels from Blufans over the years. Many of them (but not all) have arrived in similar condition as in photos from @sunnyx

No other retailer's packaging damage rate is anywhere near that of Blufans. Luckily I've needed replacements only in three cases, which Kevin has always arranged for.

I'm also certain that the issue is with Shanghai post or near the beginning of the parcels' journey. Edit: I never use EMS, these have all been shipped using China Post.

The rate and the extent of the damages is unique to Blufans shipments - at least among the premium steelbook retailers, as I hardly order any other goods shipped directly from China.

As many have mentioned, parcels, e.g., from HDzeta almost always arrive in pristine condition.

That is disgusting. How on earth can these items get this bad? What a disappointing and frustrating time with such a sought after release too.
It really annoys me because these items to us as collectors are something unique. Some regular Joe sees it as just another parcel.
These are fragile! Is the issue the manual handling? Is it the storage? Who knows. What an absolute joke.

Not sure if HDN has any spares but Kevin on the other site said he'd have to give refunds as there weren't any replacements available.

Really hope anyone with damaged steels can get replacements though.

one thing i'm sure is blufans boxes are not as sturdy as HDZeta, and when the boxes are not strong enough, no matter how thick the foam is, it's going to bend...

This is happening with Blufans shipments too often. Way too often for chance. It's like someone in the postal service has it out for them. Seriously, this really needs to be looked into. I'm dreading what mine may look like. None of us should have to feel like this.

Sorry to see all these damaged packages

My box arrived just like everyone’s in all the photos and I was absolutely sh*ting it when I got in late last night and see it on the side.

Luckily everything survived fine even though the foam was all slanted and bent. Not sure how mine survived but it’s like they are literally getting stamped on!
