The frustrating part is that some of us probably have to pay a customs fee, return it and get a refund (no customs fee refund I guess) because there are no reserve copies.
And how to get another copy?!?! Probably eBay for a much higher price.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but based on replies from this thread, only members from Europe are getting these damaged boxes right?

Has anyone outside of Europe received such boxes from Blufans?

I've received previous shipments from Blufans with damaged outer boxes. I live in the U.S. and I'm not the only one. Thankfully neither suffered any damage to the contents. I have received zero damaged deliveries from other sellers, HDzeta, Kimchi, Novamedia, etc. Luck, chance?

So very sorry to see that @satanclaus (n):( I truly hope you're able to source a replacement. And for anyone wondering what the heck is going on with our packages and whether the damage is malicious or not, check out the following vids courtesy of @pbtour4il in the Black Panther thread...:mad:

I've seen similar (hidden) videos from UPS, Fedex, and the USPS with packages being abused by employees. I don't think that explains why Blufans seems to be particularly effected. I've not seen or heard of similar issues from any other seller/supplier. Damaged packages of course do happen from other sources but not with the same frequency Blufans seems to be happening. I'm not advocating any conspiracy. But this seems excessive and above the realm of chance.

I wonder what the scalpers do with many copies of damaged stock in the same boxes if pre-orders have already been taken?
I guess returns and refunds all round.

None of us know at which point the damage occurs but what we do know is that Blufans (and others) are specialist retailers in Steelbooks. They as a company understand the materials and
just how fragile they can be, whether they are being shipped or not. look at the care they put into them. I can understand this from the likes of Zavvi or HMV for example (the latter I have not once ever had damage from btw) as they
are your average high street / online mass retailer. Nobody else who I know personally has ever shopped at Blufans/Zeta/Nova etc, purely because we all go there for a specialist hobby and because
of that these companies should know the drill on packaging these items for us. That being said, who really is to blame here? I cannot see these items leaving manufacturing with damage, even after being boxed up ready for shipment. For me may attention is turned towards those videos that have been posted here, showing the complete lack of respect for somebody's items. Once again, it's that 'regular joe' who has no idea what
our boxes contain, or they do, but don't care either way because all they care about is getting paid to do their job. They can throw or kick boxes about all day long. Who is there to stop them and who is there to prove who caused the damage? Also, the bent steelbook inages that have been shown here to me is a weight issue. I believe somebody has packed boxes together and stuck a hefty weight on top of that box, bending the steelbook in the process. It hasn't been kicked at or chipped or scratched, that to me is pure and simple 'crushing'. So again, who is to blame here? Shipment handlers / couriers during transit in some part of the world.

I think steelbooks should be sent out in transparent hard plastic cases like you can get for the pop vinyls as well as the usual foam padding and HARD boxes. Sure, those can crack with damage but it's an extra layer of protection, plus if they remain intact then you have a display box too.
It won't happen though due to cost.

That is a terrible idea, for many reasons.

Normally we get pics when it's all gone bad, and rightly so, but is it the norm? Probably not, just that we're not as quick to post about it if all went well. I'm posting to restore a little bit of faith on Blufan's awesome packaging all things considered.
So here's how they should all arrive. My order was probably handled by the same guys as others in the last few pages and yet look at it, perfect. Well actually there's one dent on the lower side, that's it.

that is very good for Blufans standards! A few bumps here and there is the best we can really hope for.

We can all accept damaged ones are received every now and then, it's just statistics. But what's odd @sunnyx is that you've been receiving several like that, one after the other. That makes no sense while at the same time I receive mine mint. I received another one from the same mega GB also mint, etc. I don't know what to make of that. It's unlikely you're the unluckiest person in the UK and I'm the luckiest in Spain.
If we could understand why some arrive badly bashed in while others don't we might all be able to increase our chances of receiving mint copies.

You wouldn't be saying that if it protected them lol.
I don't see how shipping premium steelbooks in a plastic see-through box would help anything. I can only see it making matters worse on all fronts, I imagine they would get kicked around a little more, just because.

Well neither of us know do we so there we go.
