Debossed title was eventually confirmed. Words "Thor" and "The Dark World" are debossed

No Embossing or Debossing, No Border. Can't tell for sure through the plastic if it's Matte or Gloss finish. The title is for sure on the front and spine.

I'm assuming he handled it since he took the pics...

Looks debossed to me, look at the right where the light is shining, but if that member on BD had in in hand then i guess not... Thats a bit of a shame

also looks gloss to me, but probably isnt

Debossing of the title alone is more subtle to make out through wrapping. It will not have an outer border on the steelbook like embossing.

I don't remember best buy confirming anything, wasn't this just assumed to be the same as the future shop release?

I'm glad it's got a title at least, which is why I joined the group buy over purchasing from Zavvi.
The pics looks like they might be matt to me.

On the spine picture, it looks really flat all the way across. But maybe not...

Well, I have it physically in my hands, and with that in mind, I can confirm it's not Debossed... just as I mentioned.

Debossed means letters are "sunken in" not raised - so should be an indentation into steelbook

Memento (CA) has a special embossing on title.

sorry i think looks debossed click on picture magnify up and look at top left corner of R and top left corner of H metal def looks stamped inwards unless i'm missing a trick bear in mind this is still in shrink wrap an not nessecarily easy to see thru.

Hmm, The Wrestler from the Alliance Canadian wave has a raised title, but isn't technically embossed.
