Just a reminder, slipcovers are there to compliment the STEELBOOK.Having said that, the main ingredient is still the steelbook. At the most extreme scenario...crappy lenti with an actual super steelbook vs super lenti with an actual crappy steelbook, the one with the actual super steelbook will win every time if it's from equivalent retailers.

Unless of course you don't open your Steelbooks, then it doesn't matter what they look like

You have made that reference a couple of times that it does not matter what the inside looks like for collectors who keep their copies sealed.

But It does matter !!! A collector that likes to keep his copies sealed usually waits to see real pics of the steels/Packages before purchasing, or does not wait if he feels confident (as we have incredible 4 or 5 Ninjas that take professional Photos of the steel and bonus items and in extreme details, not to mention the drove of members that take pictures of their own steels/packages) the ninja will have seen many pictures of what the final product will look like and will keep it sealed in his collection knowing that he is happy with what he has collected.

After all we collect for the whole package, if we would not care about what is on the inside, we would not waste money.

I personally collect for the whole package. If everything doesn't add up to the way I like it then I simply won't get it. And even if I don't open it, the inside has to be artwork I like. If not, and I plan on keeping it sealed, I still don't buy it. Everyone is different you know, everyone likes different things. One persons way isn't better or worse than the next person.

I still think 99/100 people would prefer to have the kimchi version over this one. Myself included.

Not judging by this thread or comments across the net they wouldn't, the anticipation for this particular blufans release is sky high. Superior spot gloss finished steel with gorgeous embossing and a lenti that has the art Kimchi should have used in the first place = this is THE version to own!

Haha I can't disagree with you though I'd want the most sought after copy. There's not always logic with hyped steelbooks. Blufans monsters university smokes kimchi's yet kimchi's is far more desirable for many.

To be honest Kimchi make far better quality slips and lentis in terms of the materials they use. They are more like Nova, nice thick card all finished well. I've really loved Blufans actual steels but their quality of card is far poorer and it's just a fold in job rather that a full sealed slip.

The steel and lenti art for this done by Kimchi or Nova would be so much cooler [emoji4]

I got love for Kimchi's Thor DW lenticular as it really set the stage for the desirability for these asian lenticulars.

however, if compared on actual merits of the total package, Blufans Thor Dark World is FAR superior in many ways.

Kimchi Lenti will always be the most sought after and most valuable.

@jimmyv is spot on, these are cheaper because of a much larger print run and they have just been released. The real market value only comes to force once that initial rush has disappeared. I can see this version being the one people want, the steel is better finished and thats the most important aspect.:)

Blufans larger print runs need more time.

Put them next to each other and tell me I can take only one for my shelf. Blink and I would be already running away from you with Blufans.

Not me. Nothing sucks more than watching value of blufans continue to sink til they can be had for cost on the 2ndary market. Blufans has a QC problem and that is why people never pay top dollar for BF releases, yet they still do for the Kimchi ones released years ago. Kimchi holds its value more than Blufans. Always has been that way.

I've just deleted a few posts folks - everyone should try to refrain from the following:

- Scalper talk and accusations.

- Speculation about re-sale prices etc...

I would ask that we all, going forward, keep this discussion polite, thoughtful and avoid the above.

If a member has a problem with another member's post, I would like to ask the said member to take a moment to report the post instead of directly responding.

We'll clean up anything that we need to and address any concerns accordingly.

Thank you.
