Actually I quite like the clean cover, but the spine needs a title..... Apart from wanting to make things cheaper in terms of worldwide artwork the lack of title on the spine makes no sense to me

Why are they deciding recently not to put a title on the spine
The Avengers Assemble
The Lone Ranger
Thor The Dark World

Others I not listed

Front artwork with no title is ok in my opinion especially if the artwork is good
But the title needs to be on the spine
If it was a one of title release it would not matter but with more releases having no title on the spine it does become a problem

But if Disney and other studios keep doing this you wont be able to see what film is on your shelf
Picture this 2-5 or more (10-50) steelbooks on a shelf none with a title on the spine it would be crazy

Can the Disney and other Studios take note of customers wishes all steelbooks need a title on the spine

agreed and thats why i cancel my ordered and i hope target can release digibook instead. Just like man of steel i don't have it in steel. But i bought the target exclusive digibook and i enjoyed it

Liking the new art and the spine doesn't bother me. This 100% NEEDS to be a gloss steel or it will be sh*t.

Marvels official UK twitter feed says this will be released Feb 24th in the UK.

Yuk, like the old artwork by far.

Thor just looks weird in the new design and what is going on with that spine?

Very amateurish feel to it. The spine should just mention and show the title, not every mugshot of every actor who's in the movie.

I LOVE the new artwork especially in comparison to the mess that was the old one.

Having said that, Zavvi still hasn't changed the cover on their site. As soon as they do, I'll probably order another one just to be on the safe side.

I prefer it clean actually - I mean look at the below mock up with the title - which do you prefer?

I actually like this. Purely because at least it'll be consistent with the 1st one (which had title on the cover). If the first one had been title-less it would have been a different thing.

yes much better than the old imo i think i might purchase a copy the film was ok let down by that comedy sidekick of the american girl (not portman)

New artwork should be perfect with lightnings on Thor's hammer, just like the old one, that's why i prefer the latter, even with the title

is this gonna be in 3d too as the description says specs 2d features
