I love the artwork. I dont need a title on the frontcover but on the spine it is ok.
Hope we will get the same artwork here in germany cause it is cheaper than the zavvi one.

I bet that's not what you typed initially :D

Being serious for a second, surely this is just a minor inconvenience rather than a complete disaster ? There are several releases without titles on the spine, and they all sit well within my collection, and I have no issues with telling which is which. I understand some people might not like it for aesthetic reasons, but 'complete disaster' is a bit of an over-reaction.

Personally I'm not overly keen on the new front image, but do like the spine.

That was what I typed initially actually. Anyway, it is a complete disaster. I bet you would still have bought this if it had the same artwork but was titled on the front and spine (instead of the characters of course). On the other hand, I won't be buying this unless it gets really cheap. It doesn't bother me personally, I'll happily save the money for another title with a better looking Steelbook or maybe a Steelbook of this with exclusive artwork elsewhere. The thing that gets me is that all other attempts by distributors to save money (poor finishing, printed backs, lack of inside artwork etc.) are shot down by collectors, yet most think this is okay. First it was no title on the front, now no title on the spine aswell. Where does it end? How about a paper slipcover with the artwork on and a plain silver Steelbook underneath with the disc inside? Much cheaper than printing different Steelbook designs

I'm not sure that not putting the title on saves them any money, especially if there were no plans to emboss it on the front - it's still a 4 colour process...

I can't work out if you're serious or playing a character.

Of course it saves them money. It is cheaper to produce one Steelbook design and a different J-card for each country than it is to produce a different Steelbook in every country with the title in the relevant language. That is why they do it.

I am totally 100% serious.

do you have it?
and like i said if we all had the same taste how BORING would the world be

It would be more boring if we all had the same taste as you and mnementh.
This is a joke. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion and has their own tastes, it's just that some have better taste than others :p

thanks for that it must mean we are getting you to see it our way. yipee at long last lol

Of course, it is my collection of just 1000+ Steels but to me it is one of the most disappointing Steelbooks (front+back+spine). The VIVA was better though but the design is lackluster when compared to Iron Man 1, 2, Thor, & Captain America

i see what you are writing and i like all of them but if you take the title off them all you would still know what they are.
my avengers is gonna go to the top of my favorites list when stan lee signs it in may.

Where's stan lee signing in May? His coming London in July looking forward to that
