i see what you are writing and i like all of them but if you take the title off them all you would still know what they are.

That's not the point though. You talk about me 'getting to see it our way' but it seems you don't understand why others don't like this kind of design. Our complaints are based on aesthetics not practicality.

which avengers steelbook is everyone refering to? the only one i have seen is the uk and i find it pretty boring for the film that it is!!

I like the front but the spine not so much. I would have preferred the title there so the all match just to keep my ocd in check.

On the whole i think 2013 was a pretty boring yeah for steels, to many movie posters used. Its good to see it changed up. Still no patch on the original but then again, not many are.

So its another one with generic worldwide artwork...time to start shopping around to see who has the best deal, could very well end up cancelling the Zavvi one for a cheaper option if all Id be missing is an English language j card. I dont dislike the artwork (not a fan of the character spines though) but these Disney steels are not a patch on the Paramount offerings :(

C'mon guys, all this over a spine?! Am I the only one who displays their Steelbooks front cover forward?? Why hide that amazing artwork, let the Covers breathe!

Id love to but sadly I dont have 50 foot long shelves LOL I have a 'Ribba' picture ledge from Ikea that I display some steels on and change the display now and again but as for the rest...its spine room only on my shelving

Not a fan of this art, the spine is horrid also. But then again holding it my hand may make me change my mind (not about the spine though, the spine is horrid).

This art work doesn't to me seem to lend it self very well to any kind of embossing/debosssing like they have done in the past. Maybe it'll be full gloss instead.

Not rocking the artwork for this (especially after the awesome HMV exl for Thor) but pretty sure this will look much better in hand. Missed it at the cinema so looking forward to it

Already have this on order, got the HMV Exclusive of the first one when it came out just a shame this isn't as good but either way I'm still happy with it.

The lack of title does also bother me for reasons earlier given by snooloui, and the money saving element means we will probably see more of this in 2014 unfortunately.

I'm not OCD about it, but for me the lettering on the title is just as much a part of the design as the imagery. Marvel or Thor lettering is distinctive and recogniseable, in the same way as having Thor's character on the front is, and (imo) is just as much a part of the package as every other aspect of the design.

Being a big fan of graphic design and (good quality) graffiti I like to appreciate clever lettering which fits or works with it's surroundings. And even in some cases where it doesn't. The juxtaposition of contrasting objects is a contributor to what makes most packaging aesthetically pleasing and I feel these steels without titles look somewhat incomplete as a result.

Just my opinion being put forward though. Each to their own when it comes to buying it or not ;)

Lack of title is disappointing, all my other Marvel steels have the title (I have the Avengers VMB) so this won't look as complete with the other steels

Will have to see what else is released around the world, though wouldn't be surprised to see this be the worldwide art

If I werent a steelbook collector, and I saw this design, I wouldnt be able to tell if it is the first or second movie as the characters on the spine are the same main characters from the first film. With some of you guy's logic, the future Avengers 2 and 3 steelbooks could just use the same spine as the first Avengers steel and everything would be all good right? Methinks not!

im pretty sure there will still be a slip, besides it's not going to be in any stores since it's a zavvi exclusive and they obviously list it as the dark world, mind you im sure this is probably world wide art so best buy or whatever will get one too,but it will probably have a jcard stating it's the dark world,or it will be right next to the amarays. i see your point though lol
