I would've kept it if it wasn't for the dreaded spine slash, but knowing zavvi they will probably reduce the price very soon may cave in then when it happens

Didn't even notice the spine slash until I read about it on here, sent zavi an email off about it asking for a replacement and within mins I got a reply and returns number

another well thought out zavvi release like the way j-card on this covers up photos on the spine they had to put there, will look good on the shelf suppose you would know which film it is by the shudder every time you had to look at it and you know why? because you would notice it let alone anyone else!

Very happy to receive this today after missing out on the Best Buy exclusive yesterday. I think it's pretty good considering it has no title on it.

So the spine slash a manufacturing defect or when someone opens a box with a knife?

Usually when warehouse open with a knife. On this however it must of been done during manufacturing as the slash's were under the cellophane not through it

There's at least one step after manufacturing where spine's can be slashed (before the retailer's warehouse).

Scanavo manufactures the steelbooks, but then they are sent to another facility (distributor) where discs, J-cards, sleeves, etc. are added and the product is sealed. There is a perfect opportunity to slash steelbook spines before shrink-wrapping.

I just really want to know who green-lighted the back cover art. It just seems so out of place to have those 3 characters displayed like that. Now that I have my copy, I'm kinda glad I stuck with the BB version. I didn't think it would be a big deal to have the title on it, but it looks better to me.
