Will have to pre-order. Hopefully this is the first in a long string of Terry Gilliam releases *cough*TWELVE MONKEYS*cough*

As much as I love this movie, I would pass on a steelbook. Nothing could ever beat the Criterion release here in the States.

Really does make me wish Criterion did steelbooks, though. Particularly when you look at a lot of the cover art they use for certain releases like the upcoming Lord of the Flies.

I got the Criterion 3-disc DVD release. A beauty, but I don't know whether the blu-ray version is similar. I would probably buy a Brazil steelbook if it comes with a booklet like Time Bandits. Love booklets!

It will be hard to tell until this comes out since it's an all new disc with an all new transfer. I'd be surprised if it didn't end up looking better than the Criterion DVD, but a 3-disc release for any movie (DVD or not) is hard to beat content wise.

Since this will be a blind buy for me, I'll just go with the steelbook release now that I have a region free player to go along with my PS3.

I meant the Brazil 3-disc set. As far as I know Time Bandits was only released on Criterion as a 1-disc DVD. So you're right, this will probably end up looking much better than the Criterion release.
