Well if it is not cut why is the runtime different?

2 reasons

1, the runtime is incorrect
2, PAL speedup due to 24fps but that shouldn't affect Blurays but there are a number of titles encoded with 1080i / 50Hz that it does

http://www.bbfc.co.uk/search/?searchwhere=db&q=total+recall

IMDB also shows 113 mins

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100802/

so where has the extra 2 mins come from from the Dutch version?

Nice to see this get a UK release. I sold my Dutch version a while back so will more than likely pick this up!

TBH not sure i just read that dutch is the only uncut version avaliable even the both the german editions are cut

There is also the possibility that the version submitted to the BBFC was pre-cut by the distrubter.

This happens a lot, they submit a shorter version of the film, the BBFC make no changes & it's dubbed "uncut"

AFAIK the hunger games in the UK was pre-screend to the BBFC, the distrubuter wanted a 12A classification, so they were recemonded to remove some scenes, which they did.

Thye submitted a release & it was not cut in any way. It is however shorter than the US release.

Does anyone have the dutch release and can they verify the runtime from the disc rather than the case?

Total Recall was never pre-cut either. the BBFC will show that info anyway

it's the same as the R rated version that got released in the US. I've own the UK BD, US BD, US DVD, UK VHS and they are all the same trust me ;)

like i said, the only cut version i know of is the FSK16 release in Germany

I was not aware of that. every day is a schoold day :)

now I am confused. the Hunger games shows a substitution of 7 secs: http://www.bbfc.co.uk/search/?searchwhere=db&q=hunger+games

but it doesn't say it was cut before being submitted as far as I can see? I listened to an interview on the Mark kermode / Simon Mayo film review and the BBFC guy said the scenes were removed before submission.

Predator, Terminator and Total Recall all coming in the next few months.

We only need a Jingle All the Way steelbook and that will properly complete the Arnie wave. ;)
