suddenly the predator play.com steelbook edition doesent look so bad , watched it and apart from the near the start of the movie thought the picture looked good

They'll hardly do a replacement disc when one of the major points of this re-release was supposed to be the new transfer. I don't own a copy of the old UK Blu Ray release so I'm not sure what the PQ was like on that, but my French transfer is pristine compared to this rubbish

Like I said before, it is just my personal opinion. What were these other positive reviews compared with if anything??

Buy it yourself and see. What I think is poor quality, you might think is excellent

For me, it's not about the grain. I know there is always going te be a certain amount of it in movies depending on the film stock. But when something is meant to be improved upon you expect it to be better than what went before

How are people finding this steel?
Ive never seen the film, but love sci fi films! The art looks nice and clean, is the transfer really that bad? Was going to head to HMV after work but the now having doubts!

Think you'll find all POST-order (as opposed to Pre-order) prices being more closely aligned with Store prices (and vice-versa) at HMV. Promotion on this only lowered pre-order price to same as Amazon so a no-brainer on that one.
