Is it possible to overwrite scratches on the steelbook with a touch-up applicator?

Has anyone tried overwriting scratches with that method and was that method succesfull?

I can't imagine a product that exist...

with a car paint with scratches, you can buff it out...but it's all one solid paint color.

If you have a black steelbook ... and there is a scratch in the black area ... its pretty easy to fix. For a quick method, use a black sharpie and color it in ... You can then see it was colored in ... so wipe it off, rinse repeat this method and it'll finally fill the scratch black without it looking sharpie'd. I guess paint could be used instead and make it probably better, but I only had to do this once and a sharpie was close by and did the trick.

i've done some airbrushing in the past when i was into graphic arts.to me,if you thought about touching up without the slightest sign of it,airbrushing would be the way.
