Walked into my local HMV, and saw all three Toy Storys for £15 in a blu ray boxset. I had a wake up call in my mind, why am I paying £60 for the same films on steelbook that I will probably only watch once or twice anyway. I am a avid steelbook collector however I've realised I have to draw the line somewhere and decided to cancel these.

i saw the same. just makes you realise how much these steels are over priced. i cancelled 1 and 2 because i have dvd steels for those already. i will get toy story 3.. just dont know whether to keep my pre order or cancel and wait and see what happens with the price...

I think the sudden price rise came when zavvi started, released their (quality) steelbooks that sold out and then saw they could charge more. Now we now we're not getting the same quality as aladdin, they can't charge as much and get away with it. Soon they'll have to drop the price or increase the quality as I for one will be cancelling all my orders.

I agree with you. They release great quality steelbooks like WFRR, Finding Nemo, Aladinn

Hope Toy story 1-3, Peter Pan , Lady and the Tramp etc etc are in the same quality like Nemo or Aladinn

It will be back on stock a lot of people cancel their orders so on the release date or sooner, it will be on stock

Yeah, i just checked and all dates removed. Does this mean the dates are being moved back in some cases? Or moved forward

They need to get there stuff together. If they aren't changing the release dates then they are pulling them down altogether...they have to many releases coming out to Constantly change stuff around

Just had an email from Zavvi saying that the Toy Story release date has changed to 20/01/2014. Though I thought that was the original release date anyway?

I think they've put it Sold Out and without a release date because of all cancellations (and maybe they've read this topic). Now they're improving Steelbook aspect.

I canceled mine because I wanted to see in hand photos before I spend £20 on something I can get the boxset for £15 (or buy 1&3 3D copies) but now it's sold out I cracked and just pre ordered it from the play outlet. Ah well I can always send it back right?

Either way I think we can now rule out this dropping in price, which was one of the main reasons people were cancelling it.
