This one wasn’t on display at my local FS. I had to ask for it specifically. I thought maybe because I was there at 11am that they were slow to put it out, but when I went back @ 5pm it STILL wasn't out. FS had all the other SB out just not this one. Strange!!

I decided to convert mine to 2 disc version so that I could keep the excellent 2nd disc from the Criterion edition DVD.

They have one of these at my local FS but the disk is loose inside so I passed, I have not seen the movie either so no idea if it is good or not.

I wonder if I could get a price reduction because of the loose disc.. hmmm.... I will ask next time I am in there.

Stink-since BD's are coated with scratch-resistant material, you should be fine. Discs come loose in Amaray shipments all the time, and it seems they're usually fine. Good luck!

Yeah but the inside case/hub could be damaged as well. There is no way to tell unless you open it.

i loved this film when it was released.
watched it a few weeks back, and still stands up today, not an excellent film maybe, but a very good film, and certainly worthy of a steelbook.
it deserves to be watched by anyone who likes films, i would certainly have in my top 100.

Hi Stink-definitely a valid point. You could buy it and return it if the spindle is broken?

Yes, I saw the flick upon release, and a few times after that. Very poignant,and relevant for our time. Whether a movie is 'good' to one person or another, is definitely subjective,as many things regarding 'art' are, but I liked it. Good luck with your decision!
