The writing doesn't look embossed in the pictures.

It is, but due to surrounding black paint it is not pronounced in pictures, very difficult to show.
You better look at inside picture, where the title should be.

I wouldn't be too surprised if it reappears on zavvi though, quite a few titles kept coming back every now and then, usually after I bought them somewhere else for more...

Yes. The only two steels I got from Zavvi in their old packaging were Shutter Island and Looper. They arrived in perfect condition, though. Every order since has arrived in the new white boxes and all have been MINT

^^^ agree. and i used to ***** so much about thier catalouge releases only being 1-disc lol - but i'd glady take it all back if play.com wld return to steelbooks :tear:

(course now that i learned to mod steels 1-disc thing isnt as much of an issue )

Yeah shame loads of matte steels from them lately. At least Pain & Gain looks promising - although it's still going to be a matte varnish at least the actors on the front cover will be spot UV glossed.

sry i think at least half the blame lies with zavvi - i get Igans point 4 new releases, but zavvi are paying upfront for their exclusives, meaning they definitely have a say in the overall quality of the product.
