Goto bestbuy.com you can order the bluray steelbook
For. $29.99 store pickup only no shipping

That will kill the value anyone else agree

I knew that would happen

Depends how you look at it. I have no interest in this, but there are not unlimited qty floating around (many stores are sold out). Since BB doesn't ship overseas, and there is a wide international audience that gobbles up any Exclusives, the 'asking' price will spike higher for some. ...apparently this one was more limited than the other G1 Twilight Steels,so at least some will pay some premium...But I am not sure it will ever be a crazy-priced Steel....

I did end up finding one back in late February. It was like 32$ after tax and on eBay they go for $50 EASY. I've seen higher on multiple occasions. So not a huge increase yet. But I would think it'll go up quite a bit when the new movie comes out and everyone will be wanting this one too. Am I crazy for thinking that DB?

:), it's all sold out pretty much everywhere in my area...that's about 10 stores within 10 miles radius from me.

Yeah. Just cause it says buy online for in store pickup doesn't mean there is a ton of stock left. It's gone practically everywhere. And as DB eluded earlier, BB stock online isn't always updated. My old man happened to be in Hawaii and checked for me when it showed online that they were in stock in the store. But they actually were out. My sister got lucky and bought the last one for my in all of Oklahoma and then I noticed it updated as out of stock right away. At this point, if you can find one that's mint at this price, buy it. Don't think about it, buy it! (employee of the month reference) ;)

Slim-no not crazy-your logic makes sense. The thing is most G1's traditionally didn't fly off the shelves (Sucker Punch Comic G1 an exception due to the limitation of shipping by the retailer, and convention availability), and the pretty limited qty. But other G1's are not typically as sought after as G2 counterparts, and don't garner the values over time that limited or popular G2's, do. So when I say 'crazy' prices, I am talking about in the range of T2 with Black Slip, Le Grand Bleu and Iron Man or Rambo. I think it's a nice Steel for fans of the film, but the increase in price on Ebay now is nothing more than Ebayers capitalizing on all of this 'hype' that naturally gets created in forums, and the inability of international customers to 'just buy' them at Amazon sites, as we all do.

Slim, yes this is correct. Best Buy stores vary significantly, as do other retailers, in terms of stock shipped to them, and how quickly they sell out. As was the case with the G2 Disney line way back, some stores had larger displays, some had none, some sold out, and some displays stood for several days untouched. YMMV.
