How is that? wayne71 says that the listing states 'limited print run' and asks if it would be limited to 2000 copies. GoDo responds saying that it will more likely be 4000 as 2000 copy print runs are usually described as an 'ultra limited print run'. It's very basic comprehension.

I figure rpg is referring to this post in which he quotes wayne from earlier in the thread, where he uses the phrase ultra limited.

I don't think this proves anything either way and am very certain that we aren't going to reach a conclusion here without getting the responsible buyer at Zavvi to meet you both in person and put this to rest, so what do you say we hug and make up and put it to rest ourselves by moving the conversation on to something less contentious? :)

it would be interesting to know what the average print run is for a new film on bluray in standard amaray cases...

There's always a clue as to the genuine demand for a steelbook, that's in the amount of Thanks the listing receives. In this case, its not looking good and I'm pretty certain there will be a heap of them on eBay shortly after release.

I think it is pretty huge, new titles have been known to sell over a million copies. Personally it doesn't bother me as to how limited this is, it's a nice looking steelbook at a reasonable price. That is good enough for me.;)

wow, that is a large number. so the 4000/2000 print run is more limited than i thought

thanks for that

The article even states 'with a limited print run (we’re guessing 2000 copies)'

I know it's not important but false information is one of the biggest peeves for me on a forum.

Im just trying to point out that it was first posted as utra limited, in which some arrogant people are refusing to accept. it doesnt really matter to me what the run is, its a nice looking steel. i saw it on zavvi when it more or less first was posted on their site and it said ultra limited, when i returned to pre order i noticed it had changed, which i thought was odd.

It didn't change. Now let's move on.

To be fair - I have asked this question 3x times in this thread an nobody has confirmed yet what the actual number is. I dont think its unreasonable to somebody per-ordering a copy of this to know a definite answer of how many copies are being made. This would factor into their decision of whether its worth them buying the item or not. Regardless of peoples personal feelings - its a pretty solid fact that quantity of copies do matter when it comes to collectables.

Why don't you ask Zavvi? It's their stock! Whilst your request may be reasonable, your dependence on other forum members to respond to your demands isn't... Jeeeeez! EEK!:hilarious:

I had sent zavvi and email 2 days ago.. as usual their looking into the matter and will respond to me once they have the information... in other words - "piss off and dont ask us questions because we dont know what we're doing either"

I'm REQUESTING here because mods like digitalbabe, wreck etc tend to know information about stocks/ pre-orders going live/ cancellations etc that us regular members do not. That's why we come to the forum - because its a sharing of information.
