Well I'm one collector who don't do that and never will sell any of my collection and not even ever done a trade as I open all my steelbooks (only purchase qty of 1) and watch the film and any included extras

This steelbook looks nice but it is not WEA as the Artwork is the exact same on the standard Blu-ray
Why does the listing say WEA as its not or have I missed something

The Price is crazy and should be reduced to £19.99 but as this is limited to 2000 it will still end up as a sold out release as its a new film that's still been shown in the cinemas

Zavvi wont care if were not impressed with the price as all they will care about is selling out and making maximum profit
Collectors will still buy this and they know that but if this was a usual 4000 it would struggle to sell out even at £19.99

I don't care if people on the internet I don't know hate me or not.

I buy steelbooks because I love them but it is an expensive habit so every once in a while I will scalp a steel to help pay for my addiction. There is nothing wrong with that. Its not like I order 5+ copies of the same thing I am scalping I order one. I'm also not going to pretend I don't buy stuff and resell it for more than I paid for it. If I look at literally any post on the trade forum there will be someone selling a steelbook or several for more than they paid for it and they don't get persecuted as scalpers.

WEA refers to Steelbooks only, otherwise there wouldn't be more than a handful that truly have exclusive artwork and the term would be redundant.

We have dedicated threads about each retailer in our retailer zone forum, which you can feel free to chat about packaging, problems about the latest item you got from retailer abc that arrived damaged, and many other things.

The reason these guidelines and rules are in place here at hidefninja.com are to maintain a sense order and topic discussion that does not stray too far off from the packaging, the movie, the actors, and the similar types of items. Steelbook releases can be a polarizing subject, and many people follow these threads to find out when these items go on sale, if they are sold out, and the rest. Those folks that receive e-mail alerts do not appreciate seeing their inbox full of discussion about many topics that are off subject.

I hope you and others that have recently posted in this thread can follow these simple guidelines and rules that have been posted and developed for the good of all members.

What's being said is to use your best judgement when chatting about this release, and if you find the majority of your content is all about zavvi, and something that recently ruffled your feathers, absolutely HAS to be discussed, you can talk about it at this thread.

frankly, sounds like balderdash. WEA should be referring to the blu-ray release, not the steelbook only. If this art is being used on the amaray, then it's NOT exclusive, is it?

Not everybody does it. Many collectors respect other collectors enough not to do stuff like that. There's a more effective way of making money, it's called a job. Scalping does more harm to this collecting hobby that people realise. It completely ruins the desire in a steelbook. Take iron man for example, how long was that on play before selling out? A 4000 print run became the biggest grail. Because it wasn't bought by scalpers, it was bought by people that genuinely wanted it, it's value increased by demand and not buy a scalpers decision to up the price stupidly high. Of all the beautiful steels released since with small print runs we should have more grails today than we do but we are just left with expensive steels and expensive does not equal grail.

I think this is a beautiful steel that zavvi have clearly overpriced. I highly doubt people will pay top dollar considering ebay will be full of these. Zavvi need to lower their limit of 5 to 2 personally. Cause it's getting out of hand and they're just inviting this sort of behaviour.

I think even matte this will look a lovely steel, and it's a great unique movie. It's such a shame

Nope, I'm saying if the same art is used on the regular amaray then I struggle to see how that can be claimed to be exclusive. I collect steels to see artwork that's different/seperate to the regular amaray packaging

Very pricey, but the highly unique nature of the film and the striking art means this steelbook is hard to resist.
Thankfully not being released for several months means I'll be able to afford it come release date!

Pre-ordered at the moment, a touch on the pricey side at £24.99. So I might cancel at a later date.

Going to take a punt on it, no time to see it at the cinema so money has been saved in a way. The steel looks good (if they stick with it) and I like Scarlett and then a bit of Sci-Fi/Horror makes it a no brainer.

I can't really blame Zavvi. Entertainment Store kicked off these no 3D exclusives at silly prices, it was only a matter of time before the others started following suit.
