Wolfe Video announced “Undertow (Contracorriente)” for Blu-ray release on June 1st. The film directed by Javier Fuentes-León was Peru’s entry for the 2011 Academy Awards for Best Foreign film. I've never heard of them before, first time.

Yeah, Wolfe is the # 1 LGBT themed film distributing company. It's difficult to get any film with subject matter/characters that "Hollywood" deems as "fringe/risky" made-even large scale Hollywood productions with known directors, like "Brokeback Mountain" took probably a decade to finally get to the screen due to residual hollywood hypocrisy. Wolfe doesn't distribute films of that magnitude, but at least they're bringing stories for a traditionally supressed audience to dvd a high-definition format. Good news for a hi-def fan like me and many others in our community
