Bought one on ebay and the wrap on this one is a "loose" wrap with folded corners like TW versions only much lower quality.

Does that sound right or should it be shrink wrapped like every KR steel I've seen?

Look at the pics posted by roseart and if the shrinkwrap looks similar to yours, you are good.
