Zavvi may have been onto a good thing with the 2k print runs to start with, but flooding the market with all sorts of dross at high prices means I give it a couple of months before nothing is selling out again, as was the case with their 4k releases.

I agree, these 2K one's only sell out now because of the scalpers and they will stop buying them because they are losing money by re-selling at a loss on fleabay, even fairly descent one's like Beetlejuice are already going for under a tenner.

I love this Film

I was going to order the German Steelbook glad I waited

Lowest Buy Now price for Beetlejuice is £18.49

Most are £21 and more

Less than £10.00 not on any listing I have seen
I don't count auction listings as price they end up as is always more

Not a great film tbh, not sure its worth the steelbook upgrade, would go well next to the Non Stop steelbook though....

Zavvi must be kidding with this WEA thingie:

IMO this hardly qualifies as WEA.

This should be called worldwide exclusive lettering on case.

Yeah, saying it's WEA is quite farfetched, but I'm interested because I want to have a steelbook of this movie without that ugly "Steelbook Collection" text.

Yeah I laughed when I saw the WEA followed by the artwork which has obviously been used on the German version (which I own). Easy pass for me, my German version will do me just fine.

What's with this WEA malarkey?? Army of Darkness too, that "WEA" has been available on on various formats in various countries for years....

I do count auctions, 1 I was watching ended on the 19th May and sold for exactly £10.

Seller must be a rookie and not have a reserve price set in the auction
As cost price was more than £10.00 or they did not originally pay for it in the first place ? where they get it from and what was the postage costs as some sellers bump the postage costs to get above retail
Price sold for you cant ignore postage costs you include that as the overall price
What you saw was not normal price its ended up going for by the rest of the sellers

You don't sell below cost price basic rule you either get your reserved price or above or you pull the listing

Its a Sold Out release and no need to sell for £10.00 when you can get it sold for above what you paid retail or at a minimum what you paid unless its a release no one wants or been sold cheap in shops

I don't sell by the way but bit of common sense is needed if you want sell on fleebay especially when you can be sure you can sell for at least retail price

Back to the Steelbook I liked this Film its good nights entertainment with surprises and looking forward to getting this

Postage was only £2, so nothing was made there, and not a rookie, over 3000 feedback, also very few people put reserve's on auctions, unless they have a bit of value to them, certainly not on a £15 steelbook. I would not bid on it if there was a reserve as I know I'm not going to get a bargain, follow a few of the one's listed at the moment and see what they sell for. (none have reserves).
Back to this steel, looks OK but this movie has no replay value for me so I will be giving this one a miss.

That back is begging for some spot gloss (not the first time I've said that today ...) on the lettering, à la Léon (Kimchi obviously). We all know the chances for it to be full gloss are very slim, so spot gloss is a minimum here.

I quite like it too, it's the one used for the front of the French steelbook :

Though it's too bad neither Diane Kruger nor January Jones are featured anywhere on the steel, they're fine :) (spot gloss comment also applies here, blablabla :D).

Back when the steelbook fever was starting to grow in me, I remember seeing it in a Centre Leclerc store (alongside Forces Spéciales (a French film)), only one copy of each but I had not brought enough money with me and I've never seen them again ever since :(.

But with many preorders open nowadays (the Indiana Jones steels come out a week later!), I'm not sure I can bother with Unknown at full price.
