I'm betting the rear with will be a mirror of the front except with V's masked face instead of portmans. Flat and gloss like 2001, with what looks like luminescent eyes on portman.

If so, with a nice slip and a cool pin (and obvs the 4k disc) I'd be down for that.

I think this is key to ToC really. They do something a bit different and have certainly done that here, which I applaud them for. I expected something a bit nicer but I certainly appreciate that they do take this approach. You are right too, 'V' doesn't need to be the feature all the time.
I like the ToC range collectively so far, and as usual this will no doubt look better in hand.
Exactly... I feel like they're the only ones that dares to try something different, and I'm sure they're fully aware how risky it is. Market is flooded with the same type of stuff nowadays, so these releases are a breath of fresh air IMO.

Same thought here... either that or they'll go for something super minimal.

Certainly different to previous V steelbooks and happy with the difference . . . would be churlish to dislike large face NP on the front which I feel works better here than say on LEON:-

If they go super minimal like BR or RPO that'll spoil it for me, it'll only work if it's a symmetry thing like 2001. If it ends up near blank I'll opt for the BB steel instead.

Bloody knew we'd never end up with that BB design as a ToC release..
