I have exactly the same scratch. Feel slightly lucky that its not been dented. The other copy I had was destroyed!

I am keeping my one mate and suggest you think about doing the same

Did you not open it looks like its only on the shrink wrapping by your picture
I had the same but when I unsealed the steelbook it was gone

It very glossy underneath

Note its a fingerprint and dust magnet so you might think you have marks on the steelbook use a good quality microfiber cleaning cloth to clean

I think some are being a bit overdramatic.

I know EVERYONE has gone round and round about what Zavvi "SHOULD" do to fix the issue. I personally don't care about an apology, but rather see acknowledgment on their part for what they've done. What I would like to see is just them do at this point is what any business should, and that's to either except the return of the steelbook for a full refund or allow you to keep it at a substantial partial refund. I don't like the fact that they knowingly send these out in sub par packaging with some even leaving the warehouse already damaged. I get not wanting to lose the cash, they are a business after all, but part of this business is the risk of losing money due to a damaged product.

None of the damaged steelbooks should have ever left the warehouse. And none of the undamaged should have ever left in any packaging other than the white boxes with the foam insert.

I think those who keep their steels sealed should be aware that dings and dents incurred in the post are often not visible when the card backing is in place. I suspect a few people who think their steels have escaped damage might get a nasty surprise if they unseal them. With such poor protection and the abuse handed out to packages by the postal system, the likelihood of some kind of damage is unfortunately very high.

It's definitely not the shrink wrap, I checked. I will keep it, but wanted to take a picture before I open it as proof that the scratch (if it is one) was there before i unwrapped it.

Mine had small dent under the j card, not enough to send it back. I emailed and sent a picture and they gave me a 10% refund. Really like the steelbook though. I hope they dont keep this new packaging, every release will be like a lottery of who's will reach them unscathed.

Had 2 on pre order but cancelled before the release date. Seeing how the majority here had issues on delivery I'm glad I did.

Might have to cancel all my future orders if they continue mailing these steels in envelopes. Can't chance it...

Can anyone else look inside their steelbook on the inside of the front and tell me if you have something like this at the bottom?

It looks like a section of paint is missing from under the plastic

AMEN, brotha! :scat:

Are you kidding me? They put out a highly sought after rare title in the worst possible packaging ever. How do you think any of us on here would be treated if we mailed our trades in packaging like that?

No. All this talk of formal apologies and trading standards (I think it would be very difficult to convince anyone other than a collector that a cardboard mailer isn't suitable packaging) is a bit ridiculous. I think some need to put this in perspective, I could reel off a list of retailers who think a cardboard mailer is great Steelbook packaging, I don't see the same amount of whining in those threads. At the end of the day, a customer always has choice. If you feel Zavvi have let you down here, then don't order from them again. Simple.
