Luc Besson joined Twitter earlier today and announced his big new Sci-Fi Project 'Valerian'.
Starring Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne.

This is based on the graphic novel of the same name, Valerian.

In Luc Besson's Valerian, DeHaan and Delevingne will play the iconic characters Valerian and Laureline. Besson will write and direct the film. Virginie Besson Silla will produce on behalf of EuropaCorp which will finance, produce and distribute the film. Valerian, which has influenced generations of Sci-Fi writers and directors, was created by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mezieres in 1967 and has since sold over 10 million copies in 21 languages. Production is set to begin at the end of this year with a global release slated for summer 2017. Description from Amazon: "Valerian and his partner, Laureline, are agents for the vast Galaxity organization. In the past their missions have taken them to all corners of the galaxy and through time as well. But now Galaxity is gone, and Valerian and Laureline are dependent upon their meager remaining resources and their ingenuity."

No worries dude... I forgot I'd even posted that lol.

Yeah, she'd be awesome to hang about with on a night out. As a person I love her, but as an actress I think she kinda sucks... I just can't take her seriously. I think that's why her playing a DJ on GTA works so well, because she's basically just being her wacky self.

Started playing GTA 5 again last week (was only like 35% complete on missions - glad I've started playing again. It had been exactly 3 years since my last save. Was crazy, like dead on the date from 3 years ago. Weird) and I finally heard her on the pop station, she sounds quality on that and really normal. A little less posh. I liked that channel to a degree too lol

Really hope this is decent

First impression is...
This looks like Fifth Element meets... Jupiter Ascending.
That's EXACTLY what went through my mind too! Let's just hopes it's more like the former than the latter though... Jupiter Ascending was really bad. (n)

I'm on the fence at the moment anyway... it looks pretty, but I'm not really sold on anything else at the moment to be honest. :ohno:

Woah, looks mental.

Visuals look really good and completely agree looks a bit element meets Jupiter.
But this looks better than Jupiter ascending IMO

And I liked Lucy on the 2nd watch so I hope i like this although he's not the director he was 15 years ago

Was that Rihanna I see :woot::drool:

Cara and Rihanna in a film together.

Now that's one threesome I would never turn down.....

Nothing can be as bad as JA to be fair. :p

I agree... Besson has lost his touch over the years, both with his writing and directing IMO. Although I did also enjoy Lucy a lot more on rewatch. Hopefully this turns out to be really entertaining!

its crazy how much better the CGI is in this trailer compared to the first one. Big Improvement!
Feeling a little better about this now.

@Noodles I LOVE Fifth Element!
its not in the "so bad its good" category. its in the "so good its good" category!
I love FE too, but it's cheesy as hell... in a good way though, of course (basically what I meant by "it's so bad it's good").
