Unless it was a full Solid R/18 then this films already failed! anything less than those ratings = Not Venom! Same with the rumoured to come Black Widow film, 18 or fail!
Your going to cast the movie out just because it’s not R/18 rated? If anything is a fail it is on you for not giving it a chance before you even see it. ...and Black Widow, the same treatment? The only fail I see is you for not even giving it a chance before it’s even started. Just because it’s not R/18 rated has nothing to do with how good the movie could be. Of course this is just how I look at it.

It's "YOU'RE!!!!!!! sorry but this REALLY annoys me"Just back from a private media and press only screening 1.5 outa 5! I suggest you pay attention in future, this film is being torn apart by early viewing fans and international media for being child friendly! this film needed to be original Robocop level violence, or it just doesn't work. The critics have already spoken, this film is BAD, and isn't going to be viewed well. Tom really failed and backed the wrong horse comic book wise

So you didn't like it? But for what reason(s) besides it's rating (without any spoilers of course)?

The effects are pretty poor, and the overall feel of the film is that of something maybe made in 2004/5. It is really poor compared to current comic films story and script wise. Shame, as Hardy is a great actor but he really backed a bad film. It's not quite Catwoman as some leaving the screening compared it to, but its not far off. Spawn was better and had much better effects that this film. I took the Mrs along and she would watch Tom read the phone book for 2 hours lol, she wouldn't rewatch this!

Yeah I really didn't like any of the trailers, they just didn't do it for me. I'll most likely get the steelbook for the collection and watch it to give it the benefit of the doubt but I have low expectations though. A popcorn flick I guess.

This was so bad I wouldn't even buy the amaray edition, not unless it was HMV's 3 for £15 deal. I thought the new Fab 4 film was better and even at that I have no version of it as the film was so bad I just can't bring myself to spend money on it. The idea was great but this needed to be absolute ultra violent to work instead it's Venom for kids! This should have been the comic book version of Aliens, but it's Venom that's no darker than Spidey 3

All the negative reviews and bad press is probably the reason they are trying to get orders for the steelbook now.
Before anyone else sees the film.

Do feel that venom needs to be violent like how Logan and deadpool are. Feels like it won’t work otherwise

I read that hardy is not happy with it and his favourite parts were cut lol. 40 mins worth or something. Going to see it next week anyway so I’ll be able to judge then

Damn, I had high hopes that this will be a bit different than what we get multiple times each year in MCU. First they let me down by not doing the R-rated version and now when reading those reviews Im really worried it will be really bad. Tom Hardy in a bad film? I will see it anyway, but hopefully not as bad as Catwoman. And I didnt find F4 that bad, it had good bits so hoping Venom will have too.
