On Thursday May 15th, we are releasing the next in our series of John Carpenter classics on VHS with Escape From New York!
The release comes in two versions, the Limited Slipcase Edition, and the Collector's Edition with double sided cover.
The Limited Slipcase Edition features new cover art by Phantom City Creative, with a screenprinted tape design, and is limited to an edition of 1000.
The Collector’s Edition features a double sided cover, with the front including art by Matt Ferguson and is printed with silver foil, and the reversible, alternate side includes the original key-art fully remastered by Matt Ferguson.
Both Editions have been designed by Matt Ferguson and Florey. And yes, it plays. Each release includes the full film in widescreen, and runs at approximately 99 minutes in PAL format. And yes, they play...
To accompany the VHS, Vice Press will also be releasing two new poster editions, a 24x36 inch set of posters by Phantom City Creative, and a 27x40 inch one-sheet of the original theatrical poster, fully remastered by Matt Ferguson.
