Of-course not but the small print of text on the back of the white covers don't take any goodness from the look of these beauties, but to each their own

And welcome to the customs bill, although from what i gather your expecting it, o would say on that many steels at least £50-60 customs for uk.

They charge 20% which is £20 per £100 + £8.00 for handling/clearance charge. When I am trying to work out how much I use a simple guide 20p per £1.00 spent + Handling and its close enough for me, Hope this helps.

I am having my 6 shipped to a friend in the USA and the money saved from the difference between USA and the UK will more than likely cover the cost of getting him to send them to me. I was looking at about £45 duty coming straight here

I'm not getting any either. I was there at checkout and I just couldn't bring myself to pay $210 for five steelbooks. I mean I bought 10 steelbooks from John for $250 and that was a good price. Instead, I bought a new printer as the one I had just went out, so it was a good hand off. I have to keep some kind of hold over my addiction for steelbooks or I'll loose control. For those that did take the plunge, I'll salute you by smoking a (Just remember; it's Puff Puff Pass)

Actually it gets a bit more complicated as the VAT is on the WHOLE bill including shipping. Like Pud, mine are going to a friend in the US, with the added benefit that the unit cost is less and the postage is less than to UK. You also have to be careful of having too many sent here in one go as then not only do you pay VAT & Royal Mail (£8) or DHL (£1.25) admin fee but you also get hit with Excise Duty which whilst not massive is yet another kick in the nuts !! btw Pud unless they changed recently Amz.jp use DHL so that's a small save, but not much.

I don't know if I picked the wrong shipping choice when ordering but I reckon the saving in the shipping just between the UK and USA will just about cover the cost of getting my American friend to post to me. Either way as long as the duty is missed then it will be worth it

Just called DHL and asked how much I owe them in customs, £41.83 for 8 steelbooks, someone mentioned £60 something above, glad it wasn't, still a lot but I guess worth it at the end... will be picking it up from their depot during lunch, hope all arrive safely.
