The fact you can either get your money back or a $10 credit for waiting is more than fair. I would be shocked if Wall-e wasn't corrected and made great. With just getting all 4 versions of Frozen, plus KFP 1,2 and box set on the way there will be a steady diet of Blufans if people on this side of the street have been ordering each release, I think I can handle the wait.
I agree. I think that it's very fair how Blufans have handled the whole situation. They only release their steels when they feel they're the best they can be. For Wall-e, it didn't meet that expectation. Sure, it's disappointing that we're not going to have the steel right now, but Blufans will get it right in the end!

what is happening last I heard they were going to cut down the print run due to the plastic put on when not fully dried and they stated they will try to salvage what they can ? This makes me worry as for those who keep their steel sealed, we will never know if the steel inside is one that may have the lines on it due to the not dry issue but that blufans deemed was good enough...

On an other note, I still find that the Classic Wall-e FutureShop is still the best Wall-e so far (and I am one in Love with Asian Steels, but somehow this whole situation of them trying to salvage what is acceptable doesn't sit right with me)

say what ? no way ! hope they will issue this mess, I can wait next summer if needed

when Scanavo visited China, there were pictures of them looking at the issue but afterwards a statement was issued that they were trying to salvage the best copies and reduce print run because of the ones not salvageable...maybe a blufan expert like @domalorite heard something new/update on this ?

No, they are producing a new batch with a lower print-run. The cost is on Scanavo.

Kevin's exact words were: "Scanavo agreed to re-manufacture the Wall-E steelbook with a different finish. However, the print-run will be significantly reduced (only 1000 copies for overseas) and the release date will be postponed. (till early March). "

from what I was told by someone from the blufan forum is that Kevin's word is not the final one, this could be true I am not saying it is not but I rather @domalorite to confirm this information.

Actarus,

Hey bud. Kevin's word on Blufans is as "inside" as it gets. No need for anyone to confirm it. Good news all around in my opinion.
They will reprint (and they should). Also lower print run means more rare so that could be good for collectors too.

Perhaps we should wait till it's released b4 speaking on speculations. So far, there's been no news. Patience my friends.

it's just I am hearing both side of the story, it is most probably true but I was told back then in regards to Frozen when Kevin had made a statement from a blufan expert that told me that it was just speculation, so it leaves me wondering what to believe, but Jimmy you might be right but some other info could be missing also...I agree that for me at this point and what happened in the past in regards to statements made on the status of a blufan release, that it might be wise to have that info double confirmed to know the real story... worse comes to worse like Charley said just wait for the release and see what is the real story.

Nothing announced on Blufans yet.

I greatly admire Kevin for his GB contributions, but from what I can observe he is not involved in the day to day decision making at Blufans. He posts a lot of teasers and makes announcements of announcements, but he still can't disclose anything ahead of Blufans official statements posted on the Blufans forum.

If there are any Blufans news on any of its releases they will be translated by myself or any of the other great Ninja's who browse the Blufans website, as they are made available on the Blufans forum.

You have told me so in the past in regards to Kevin's Statements, reason why I was skeptical, but I thank you for putting the floor down and to have reinforced my doubt about This statement (with all due respect to Kevin). I thank you Kindly for that Firm and Informative Statement. Much respect ! I finally can breath now and wait for proper and accurate information !

Already sold the Bestbuy release in anticipation of this release.Looking forward to receiving them.

I personally don't believe that the Blufan Release will take anything away at the Uniqueness of the bestBuy/FutureShop Release...The FS/BB Release is a beautiful release in its simplicity. It will still be a wanted item to go with the Blufan release of it. I for myself in my collection would want the North America release of it to go along with the newest Asian release. Diversification makes a collection grow in a nice way.

that worries me, i wanted a full glossy finish steel, i don't think this will happen with a statement like that.. :(

nevertheless, all is not lost actulally, kevian had answered to this post

"What do you mean when you say " different finish " ? No gloss finish ?"

by this :
"Not yet finalized. Blufans is still waiting for the new tin proof to see the difference."

@gaeljet Please read Blufans expert's domalorite's Statement instead of someone quoting Kevin;

I have asked this before in the Blufans thread but got no answer:
Does anyone know how many people actually work for Blufans? Like is it literally just Kevin and money ordering a few thousand steels, and then some friends helping him ship?

@ ADctarus, the last quote was from kevin himself
he was answering about the finish saying nothing was sure yet

i posted it since someone had posted a previous quote of kevin saying the steelbook would have a different finish than previously(glossy)

I have asked this before in the Blufans thread but got no answer:

I don't know if Kevin works for Blufans, and I don't know exactly how many people do work at Blufans. But I do know there are at least three (four if you include Kevin).

It certainly is not one guy (called Kevin) that orders a few thousand steelbooks and asks some friends to help with logistics.
