perhaps what we think are re-re-re releases are simply just the exclusive (time) being up for Best Buy so the stock still at studio is able to be sold off (and sold) to places like amazon, wbshop etc.

^^^ what he said. And to help move more "old" stock they decided to throw in a few new ones like Hangover 2 last year.

I guess that makes sense. Gotta try to get rid of em but I still dont think they will move many of the old units. So by them making this move, hopefully they are freeing up space to bring about new things in the future? Either way im sick of seeing The Dark Knight and Inception up for sale lol

So what are the chances these newer editions end up at local stores like Best Buy, Target or Wal-Mart?

The only way these would show up at Walmart would be if Warner brokered a deal and sends shippers to every store. I don't see It happening personally. I could be wrong though

Does anyone could tell me if Amazon US is as awful as Amazon CA for Packaging or more close to European Amazon websites :wtf:

It's crap shoot, most times the boxes are usually to big with air bag style bubble wrapping. Regular slipcover editions usually get mailers no bubbles... put it like this, compared to UK and Germany packaging Amazon US is in the stone age!

Thirty-five steel books released on the same date? I hope Warner is not recycling last year's BB Exclusive Warner Wave...

I thought exactly that... I have a feeling that Best Buy only got exclusivity for a period of time and now they are getting released tradewide, along with a few new ones for a bit extra cash £££...

I would buy only 3 of them - Batman Returns, Gladiator and The Town (to be able to open this and leave my FS copy still sealed). Maybe would buy also first part of Batman if it were different artworks. The rest of them for me is like "material fatigue" or hiccups, one big boredom, so many releases and almost no new noteworthy. I think that when they are already released 80% of them will be in stock in stores for a long time in the future or discounted only to finally have sold. It was better to release new movies not yet released in steelbooks than again and again come into the same river, it would be more rewarding for the publisher and us buyers.

While this is certainly great news, most (if not all) of the Steels in the wave have already been released in Steel. Heck, a lot of them have already been released in Steel in the US. As such, this is a letdown and I will probably only pick up one, maybe two, in the wave. Too bad we can't get stuff like Hobbit or Skyfall here in the US. What's the point of yet another Sucker Punch or Heat Steelbook?

Yess another sucker punch...

cant wait for the german 4th release with the FSK logo used for the inside artwork.i would love to give those suckers a punch!

Anyone know if they will come with a DVD+Digital/UV copy? I try to tell myself that I can buy these Steelbooks because I feel like I'm getting three copies. Just an excuse to buy more things. :)

Looking over this thread, I think it is safe to say that these will all have the same cover art that had been used on previous versions released. I can tell by looking at the covers already provided for "Heat" and "The Town". I don't know if the covers for the 5 Paramount titles had previously been used or not. I would like to see what the covers for "Batman", "Batman Returns" and "Watchmen" look like. I am going to guess that "Watchmen" will probably have the same cover as the Futureshop exclusive.

Looking over the list of titles, this is getting a bit redundant. Between both waves released to Best Buy last year, there were a total of 24 Steels. 23 of them are part of this upcoming line. The only one not listed is "Superman Returns".
