Warner Bros. Wave - May 7, 2013 (Blu-ray SteelBooks) [USA]

A new wave of Steelbooks coming to the USA, due for release on May 7th 2013-appearing at multiple retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Barnes and Noble, in-store at Costco, etc.

Small update:

actually about 3-4 titles will have inside art.

Problem is most of these were released last year in steel, are they going to be rehashes, same artwork, or different.

I am just not sure how many of these I can justify double dipping on even if they are different artwork with inside artwork this time.

I mean, there are a ton of identical released ones (are they just leftover stock?)

But finally seeing Watchmen get a steelbook (and fingers cross it's the futureshop cover!) I'll take it.

And maybe the Hangeover ones will carry movie money for #3? That would be a nice incentive to purchase those two (especially when U&S going on) but I think I'll wait for the eventually 'The Hangover Trilogy' set from WB.

Artwork for most of these now up at Amazon. Artwork seems to be the same as the Best Buy wave, probably will be identical to those (apart from the new titles).

To my disappointment most of them are recycling from last year's Best Buy exclusive steelbooks. I will pick only a few new ones and save some money for others.

Only 2 for me, Face/Off and Watchmen (I already own the FS Edition)
Will certainly get Face/Off as I love that movie, watchmen only if it is Glossy or lustre, is embossed and has no blue banner.

In for Gladiator, Batman, and Batman Returns. Prolly get Face/off, Gran Torino, and Chinatown or something also. I got $30 in best buy certificates plus some of my own cash I can use when they come out may 7th. I just hope here no more then $15 before upgrade and save coupon. Hopefully $5 after coupon like last time.

I'd like to pick up The Town and The Matrix, Heat and Braveheart. Unfortunately, some of the artwork seems far too similar to the traditional Amaray releases based on the images posted above (Gladiator, Goodfellas and Heat for example). What do you guys think?

Just noticed this entire wave is being scheduled for release in Hong Kong too. Gonna be a lot of these titles floating around!

The market will be flooded with these, its kind of a shame. I think it would be epic of Hangover I US exclusive cover came with inner art just to shake things up.

I think it will be the five Batman films. The artwork hasn't been revealed yet which leads me to believe that it will the same as the UK artwork. If that's the case then the Steelbooks will probably be identical and I find it hard to believe UK versions would not have inside art. This is just a guess though, Wreck could probably shed more light but may not be allowed to.
