Was on ebay UK, had a bid on it myself but bowed out early to get something else I had my eye on.
Just bought one...open and in almost mint condition (no dings, dents, paint issues). 66 US incl. shipping to me, pretty good I think!
No, only one version of the steelbook.
The free gift of the journal was not packaged with the steelbook, but given away with purchase - so it's not like the FNAC type of thing, if that's what you were thinking.

The way they are going I wouldn't be surprised if the new watchmen from amazon looks identical to the old fs one... like the Town.

You are are better off with an opened mint copy instead of a sealed one which got those dodgy bar code tag stuck on the top right hand corner on the back of the Steelbook.
