Ok, its official. Now that its confirmed "I will be cancelling all my pre-orders on Amazon." I will not be rushing to get these. Plus they will be around for as long as the others and the release date of these falls right in line with Best Buy Trade-in-Save April 21st-May 11th at which I may get two or three. These will be $10-$5 in no time!

That is what I am trying to find out. Is it really identical? Are you confirming that, chip? If it is identical, I am going to order.

Well at a minimum the outside front cover is identical and for people that keep it sealed that is 90% right there

The FS edition had no blu banner at the top and so far a mockup of one with one is all I'm seeing. The artwork has not been confirmed yet so it is speculation. I'm just saying let's not get off on the wrong track here. Lets be patient and see what unfolds.

Bring on the blu banners. If it is printed then it IMO will be better than the original. At least it will be different. I don't like reprints. I have this one from FS, but I am gonna buy this day 1. In fact I am going to buy every reprint they make.

Chip, again I agree 100%. We should buy all the reprints unless they are lower quality. For eg look at IAL FS and IAL amazon Canada.

I really don't know how to feel about this one. Other reprints don't bother me at all but this is like remaking"a new hope". Some dummy felt like they had to do it but it really was a bad move...

considering its one of the most sort after steelbooks ever and the fact is there might be a reprint with the same cover and wont matter to most that the fiinish wont be as good etc then i dont think there a dummy to do this at all after all there just interested in making money it seems they dont care about collectors just the same way the games industry threw there rattle out the pram over compaines making money off trade ins and they wont like the fact collectors are making money off these i guess but then thats just my thoughts

I kind of agree but I mostly have to disagree. I'm a comic book collector as well and reprints can be the worst. For example, one of the most recent comics with many reprints and Editons is The Amazing Spider-Man #700. The Editons after the 1st printing were with completely different artwork to make sure that if you got the 1st printing, it didn't resemble the 4th printing. It was a smart move for the collectors, the shop owners and the publisher. The other side of that coin was the nightmare of one of the best batman books to date, the killing joke. Without opening the book, the only way to tell what edition you have is but the coloring of the title. Problem is, you have to know the exact hue of the lettering to know which it is.

Where I'm going with this is you're taking something special and cheapening it with clones and copies. You're very right, the material or finish will probably be different but the artwork will be the same. That's my issue. :movie:
