FS release.

Not annoying in the slightest, I still own by far the best Steelbook available for this film. No amount of re-releases can take that away. You can't improve on perfection.

I totally agree... I would feel the same way if I had the FS release. In fact I feel the same way even if i dont have it. I have ordered the US release but I still want the FS.
However, what i meant is that not everyone thinks like that. Many are happy just to have that specific artwork.
Which also means there will be a decrease in interest for the FS release, and therefore a decrease in chance to sell the FS at the same price as before.
That is why I would have been disappointed if I was a proud owner of the FS release and a re-release came.

I have contacted them twice now since may 7th. They say that they are awaiting stock, because of limited stock, but that they are sure they will be able to deliver the item at the estimated arrival time.

Of course this will affect prices of the FS version. It is nearly identical and for the majority of collectors, this will end their hunt for the SB version of the film.

No but slightly inferior to the Paramount release due to poor compression which is typical of Warner.

I really feel for the ones who has the FS release... Must be really annoying. A ggod thing for guys like me though who never got the FS release. Now i dont have to spent 100-150usd to get it.
Wondering what the hold up is though... Should have been shipped long ago...

Don't feel sorry for me, I got the Canadian Future Shop release for retail. They were available for near retail for a long time. I feel sorry for those that wait for three years to pick up a great release.

all these WB steels have dull print ... so no way it affects the original in the eyes of any true collector. The casual collectors or normal consumers ... of course. Though when people chat of what is the best Watchmen its a very easy debate. I still think the UK one tho is like right up there due to awesome artwork.
