It's a good idea to protect the lenti but I've never had any issues before with them so I wonder why they would start doing this now. For people that keep there Steelbooks sealed this might not look great with all the creases.

Yeah I just thought it's a little strange as there have never been any issues with there lentis before. Maybe they are just making certain they won't get any damages.

I didn't order this, but wow I'm regretting not ordering a lenticular now after seeing the protective covering. That's an extremely welcome addition - I'd love to see other companies follow suit.

Personally I don't believe I've ever owned a lenti that wasn't scratched to pieces, which is the main reason I stopped buying any lenti releases at all. Blufans were the worst. I would just question at what stage of production this protective film is added and whether it will actually make a difference.
