Empire readers can submit original artwork inspired by Whiplash. The winning design – as selected by director Damien Chazelle – will be featured on the Blu-ray™ steelbook of the film, out on 1st June.

The winner will also receive a Sony LED TV and copies of the steelbook.

There are only a few rules to follow:

• Deadline for submissions is Wednesday 18th February
• Please submit a front and back artwork. Each side needs to be 171mm in height and 135mm in width.
• There is no obligation to feature the actors on the cover. However if you choose to feature JK Simmons, you must feature Miles Teller as well.
• Submissions must be original creations, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use
• Entrants must be from the UK and over 18

I wish they wouldn't put it up for pre-order before even choosing an artwork. Judging by their past competitions this could be terrible. I'll wait and see the art and finish before ordering. Being a Zavvi steel if it sells out it will come back in stock at half price later.
