Yeah, was a bit worried after seeing a review too. 4 outta 5 for the vq. Ah well I guess for it's age it will look great and anything willl look better than my ancient DVD. Can't wait to feel the debossing

Yeah, but doesn't Zavvi ship using envelopes. The chances of of steel shipping from the UK to the US damaged is too high for me. I'm doubtful about their improved packaging, but I guess I'll find out when US members receive their Roger Rabbit Steelbook.

Wreck has stated that Zavvi is supposed to have new packaging ready in time for this release. I ordered based on that, and the fact that I feel the ebay price will skyrocket once supply slows a bit on there.

Yeah, but like I mentioned I'm doubtful (doesn't mean others should be), besides I'd rather wait and see.

I suppose I'll buy it off someone who received a mint copy. That shouldn't be hard considering people buy multiple copies to sell.

Yep.. i think early on the Ebay prices and trade threads here will be reasonably priced. Once the first wave of sales go, the price will fly IMO.

I took the gamble, as I want the thing, and at about 20$ each shipped, not too much of a risk.

so far I have ordered 3 steelbooks on different occasions from zavvi. they were shipped in those envelopes as mentioned, but all of them arrived mint. I don't hesitate buying steelbooks from there anymore.

Cardboard envelopes are the normal packaging - even for Amarays as well as SBs
