Assuming that you bought it on the UK site and was charged in GBP... surely the discrepancy would be down to your banks rate of exchange rather than Zavvi?

Well, there is only one site??? And the credit card is only charged what Zavvi will take. I've been using Play.com for years with no problem.

But Zavvi haven't actually charged me yet (just checked my Credit Card) but the total is on the despatch e-mail I've received from them. I cannot query them yet until they actually take the payment.

Shipping is free. Even if it was £1 it still doesn't add up to €19.29. That doesn't even make sense.

I was just thinking if they did charge shipping, then the discrepancy would be less and the currency conversion (charge or rate, either way) would be less as a result.

nope, i ordered 4, so i had free shipping. My order came out to roughly 60 pounds for all of them and thats what i got charged by my credit company, not including the foreign transaction fee of $1.07 which factored in doesn't make a difference at all

No because some of their items are shipped from outside of the EU so there's no VAT to deduct.

i think amazon is the only international company that i have ordered from that removes the VAT. I have always been charged by zavvi, bol, dvd outlet and so forth
