So do people genuinly think this could potentially be another Iron Man/Star Trek type of Grail??

Impossible to say. All of the true Grails are different in their own way. There is no set formula, although limited copies is a must. The rest is down to you, and every other collector wanting the same title. This has as good a chance as many of late.

The fact that it is only 3k, and it seems to be a worldwide exclusive (so far, anyway!) means it will certainly be a valuable one some day. It also has a bit of a nostalgic factor... The realy grails are the ones that came out a few years ago now though, before too many collectors were about and so there aren't too many unopened copies of Iron Man FS, T2 v2.0 JP, John Rambo (Amazon.de) etc. I've bought this because it's an awesome film and great artwork and if it becomes valuable down the line then that's a bonus!

What will happen is that a lot of people will be buying this, and then after it's sold out, about 2000 copies will appear on ebay.
Also, who cares if this is the first or the 7th zavvi exclusive ? That's not an ingredient for a holy grail

i agree cizzar, hyped steels may sell out quick but staying cheap forever. if there will be any new grail it will be an underdog to the collector till it's 2late.

Wreck, any idea if this is a worldwide exclusive? Or is there a chance that others will see how well this sells and pick it up too? Albeit that can always happpen down the line even if there are no plans for others to pick this up at the moment...!

I agree, it is impossible to predict accurately what will or wiil not rise in value. I'm merely pointing out a possible classic in the making. What if this isn't reprinted anywhere else? What if it sells out in the next few hours and everyone suddenly decides "damn, I missed it"?

The saying is that what you can have you don't want. What you can't, you then develop a desire.

The point you are making is so true, Play's "Taken" was a long way from being the first from that particular wave to sell out, now it is valued as one of the highest.

All I'm doing is guessing, just like the rest of the community, that I personally think that this could be special. :movie:

Pretty much any release tipped to be a grail turns out not to be because people hoard spare copies. I don't think there will be another grail on the scale of Iron Man etc. for this reason and also because there are so many releases now that people have to pick and choose which titles they go for.

Their will be a generation of parents that will see this and being a kid will flow back to them and they will show it thire kids who will fall for a mad rabbit a clinical human .

The humor is timeless the story is brilliant it appeals to all ages . Me I have a soft spot for the weasels :p espesherly when they laugh to much :D.

Also one of the Great Bob Hoskins finest performance's and now that he has retired :( this film is a guaranteed classic .

25 years old and still original not many can say the same.

I dont know ... one that hasn't picked up is other Countries/studios willing to pay for lots of premium finishes ie. debossing on BOTH sides.

time will tell....
