75%+ have line lash spine on these. Happens at warehouse after scanavo and before the retailer (zavvi)

Wreck who opens the boxes before they reach Zavvi ?

I was under the impression these were opened at the Zavvi warehouse by a nutter with a stanley knife.

If they were all slashed before they got to Zavvi then Zavvi had no right sending these out to people in this condition.

A line slash spine may be a big deal to us collectors but its not to normaal consumers ... so long as no huge dent and the disc plays they are cool. Plus many of hte line slashes are very hard to see/faint on this release where as line slashes on Saving Private Ryan for instance were easy to spot and ugly.

steels go to a place where they put i the disc and shrink wrap them with paper etc. then get shipped to retailer or studio warehouse.

Wow 75% thats alot of slashed spines. Take into account that plus say another 5%/10% were damaged in transit your probably looking at only 400 to 500 mint Who Framed Roger Rabbit Steels, Not alot at all!

I spend a good 5 mins staring at my WFRR steelbooks spine and i cant see a slash, so i must be a lucky one, or it really is hard to see. I havent taken the plastic wrap off yet tought, so maybe that hinders the seeability of the slash.

wow, 75% is a huge number ...
Luckily I got both my WFRR steels mint w/o any damage. Actually I never got any steelbook with a spine slash, and I order a lot.
I must be really lucky

Don't have the time to do a search to see if this has been talked about but it seems like the colors on the front of the steelbook are a bit off compared to the regular-edition slipcover. There is a purplish sky instead of blue and Bob
Hoskin's face has a yellowish tinge instead of a rosier one.

Can't say I notice so about the colours. Actually it's the perfectly accurate subtle embossing that makes the image stand out that impresses me the most.

Its slightly desaturated than the previous DVD release cover, thats all
