This is just another example of a company beating earnings estimates with cost cutting rather than revenue growth. In addition to my normal coverage of earnings seasons.

People are going crazy on how they reported it as rosy, when all they did was cut back on everything including jobs.. lol

also just the obvious contradiction in heading

Wall street up because caterpillar said outlook is good


wall street went down because of caterpillar comments

True.. I guess I don't put too much weight into the news but I do gather and pool information from a lot of sources before forming opinions about things.


To be honest a lot of the news is dismissable...
