Recieved mine from play this morning, was in the old packaging though EEK! Not the new steelbook packaging. Bit dissapointing they have resorted to the old packaging just because there shutting down not good play.

Off topic but Ive noticed a distinct drop in standards from play over the last month or so I bought the 3 Mission Impossible steels in one order, they all arrived separately, 2 in boxes and one in a regular package (all undamaged though) Ive had to send back 2 orders that were incorrectly sent or damaged - one missing an advertised lenticular sleeve and a dented steelbook and had to email twice to finally get all my money back as they deducted postage as Id sent them back as 'unwanted' ..I suppose they were unwanted in the sense that I dont want a dented steelbook or incorrectly supplied item, but both times they refunded me (minus postage) even though the items were still in stock and all my correspondence with them stated I was returning them for replacements..

...If this is a sign of things to come with the new Play marketplace I dont think I'll be making many purchases with them in the future, shame as play have been my 'go to' shop for years..their loss is Amazons gain I suppose...

I ordered my Willow from Amazon so I dont expect it to be processed till Monday...looks nice from the pics though, looking forward to getting it as Ive not seen the film in years..

Not sure if this has been mentioned or whether it's only just been put up on Amazon
Note to Customers
This Limited Edition Steelbook has very limited stock available for delivery on release day. However, we expect to be able to offer a further limited quantity for delivery in early April. Please sign-up to be notified if you wish to be made aware when this stock is available to order.

The wait, for me at least, continues ......

and some open pictures. As you can see a nice glossy finish (a couple of minor imperfections) but one that shows up fingerprints really bad. Not a big deal for me though:

I decided to pass on this as I saw the film again recently (about two years ago)

I remembered it as being awesome as a kid. But when I saw it there again, the acting is actually really hammy and bad and the special effects were so cheap looking. I couldn't believe I used to think it was so good :emb:

Hmm that looks really glossy, I really need to rent this and make a decision on what to do.

I wonder if the German version will be the same glossy finish, you just get so used to poor matte finishes coming out of Germany at the moment.
