Hey all,

Use this thread to chat about all things steelbook. Chat away ...

In an undetermined amount of time (when I need to submit GB addresses) I will then conduct the giveaway via random.org using the Post #s in this thread.

Your entries could be 1 (if you post 1 time) or 100 if you post 100 times.

At that time, I will figure out who wins the free DL TDK Blufans Edition. If you already bought the DL, you will get yours for free as I will refund you. ;)

I will host the giveaway LIVE on my IG by rolling the virtual dice first, if it lands on 5 then I will randomize the numbers 5 times and whatever # it lands on that post count # is the winner.

star wars that's no moon GIF

I've always collected physical copies of movies but didn't really get into steelbooks until late 2019 and that's when I stopped buying amray copies of movies anymore unless its a collectors edition. I would say I've spent a few grand on my entire collection.

Sad to say my most valued series is the GoT slips from Zavvi with the magnets (all 8 seasons). Band of brothers and The Pacific metal tins too
Do you regret GoT after the last season? I don't look at mine in the same love anymore
Band of Brothers, great edition

I don't even want to think how much I've spent. I know it's nowhere near the amount some spend though which puts me at ease a bit. I spend within my means, if I earned more, I'd probably spend more!

$100k???? You’re insane
If you spread that over 23 years even, however crude and untrue that is, it comes to only $360 a month. If you had a family of five, that's two cinema visits worth.
I'm afraid it's likely more, I'll try to catalogue and count everything, when sorting and moving the boxes this summer.

I got a better subject - anyone actually steal physical copies? I was there before they started putting those magnetic strips inside the DVD cases...

I technically do it now. I order steelbooks from Amazon. Complain that it’s damaged. And get a full refund

Wow, you definitely suck. Keep it up, tell us when they ban you.
Well I mean the steelbooks come with minor damage like a dent or scratch. I have to send a picture as proof. They either offer a partial refund or I need to return it. But I jus keep pushing until they give me the full refund.

Ya but was that minor damage there before or after you opened the box?

No way, my mom would have beat my ass if I was stealing!

I can’t believe you asked that and positioned it as a better subject, then admitted you’ve stolen at all, let alone a commodity that a lot of us actually pay a lot of money for, and then that @GroundDigger admitted his gross and quite scummy behaviour, to be honest.

This has all become a bit distasteful to be honest.

Is it really scummy? Idk if you saw my reply. I push for a full refund when the steelbook has a dent or something. I’m just trying to avoid the hassle of returning it internationally

Before I open the box, how can I tell if the steelbook is damaged or not. Of course I need to open the box, that way I can see if there’s a dent or not
I meant was the damage actually there or did you make the damage to get a "free" steelbook?

Sound like the kind of person who lies to an eBay seller about damage too
