Hey all,

Use this thread to chat about all things steelbook. Chat away ...

In an undetermined amount of time (when I need to submit GB addresses) I will then conduct the giveaway via random.org using the Post #s in this thread.

Your entries could be 1 (if you post 1 time) or 100 if you post 100 times.

At that time, I will figure out who wins the free DL TDK Blufans Edition. If you already bought the DL, you will get yours for free as I will refund you. ;)

I will host the giveaway LIVE on my IG by rolling the virtual dice first, if it lands on 5 then I will randomize the numbers 5 times and whatever # it lands on that post count # is the winner.

It’s a frequent thing with my eBay purchases. Really can’t understand what makes people pour bottles on themselves. No, seriously
So you think it's from the hands of one of the Amazon warehouse workers?
To go along with this, I had a steelbook of Evolution arrive from German Amazon completely soaked, through and inside, underneath the wrapping somehow, in something sweet, smelly, and sticky, like watered down lolipops. The package was also dry, so it was packed in such condition. It's a mystery. I did ask for replacement on that one, because it was all ruined, cardboard card falling apart.
I did wash it all literally under streaming water, so now I have a clean, almost not smelly, extra steelbook...

Curious, have you guys ever gotten a premium steelbook damaged. I wonder if it’s happened before and what these retailers do if there are bents or scratches

yeah, but you could hardly notice it. :blackeye: joking aside, if you collect long enough, it will happen. most Ninjas have similar stories. sometimes it doesn't matter how good the packaging is, if someone in the post chain is an a**hole. to date, premium retailers will usually help out and send replacements. GB hosts can also assist with this, and often have. :thanks: :notworthy:

Oh interesting, didn’t think that they can assist with replacements considering how limited these are. I’m assuming that they hold on to a few copies in case some are damaged

Forgot, that among most prized editions in the collection is this set of Highlander seasons in digipacks. First ones were the longest, since X-Files, with 8-9 disc foldouts! (Old compressed photos, made for a forum with a rule limit of 600x800 pixel resolution).

Pretty new here but I see some really nice kimchidvd releases in threads here and there. Do they still do releases? Dont ever think Ive seen a group buy for one since I joined here.

They have a few upcoming releases if you browse their site but no preorder info.

Om that note, Kimchi release of Her with the white/red scarlett cover is amazing.

Hej till Sverige från Finland !

I have the large x-files box and when I bought it you could contact those who produced it to get replacement discs for season 8 which at release had way to dark image.

Good service, got them posted to Swe, was a nice release. But it takes up a lot of space.

Almost as much as my Stargate SG-1 DVD complete box.... :naughty::headphone:

I was really close to going for that Manta Lab Dune DL, but I decided to pass. I really wanted the Wurm to be on the back of the slip. That would have been sooo sweet.

Something like this for 'The Expanse' would be my most desired series, probably won't ever get a physical release. The art choices would be insane

Away from home visiting with family and man, do I ever miss my stuff. I think of my steelbooks, Jaws collection and Famous Monsters of Filmlands sitting in that empty house all lonely and I have to keep the Kleenex handy.
